Camping Monte Rosa is a small campsite in Valle Anzasca, one of the seven valleys of Val d’Ossola. In the middle of the green valley you can camp, at 664 meters altitude, with a beautiful view of the mountains. The Monte Rosa massif starts at the end of the valley and is even compared to the Himalayas. The Monte Rosa (4634 meters) is the highest mountain group of the Alps after the famous Mont Blanc and it forms the border between Italy and Switzerland. A ski resort during winter and a beautiful hiking area in summer! The hiking trails are easily accessible from the campsite, both on foot and by car. In 15 minutes, you are in Macugnaga from where you can take a cable car to get to a great height. From that point you can even walk to Switzerland! Moreover, the campsite is a good starting point to discover Northern Italy with its beautiful lakes.
